I don’t see how people hate on Kendrick. He’s been grinding for 11 years
(14 if you count when he wasn’t signed), always pays homage to the Legends,
& just says he wants to be the best. Do y’all wake up wanting to be 2nd
    best?

There’s a distinct difference in how Kendrick talks now – he sounds much
older than his years. He’s still only 27, but some of what he says sounds
like a 10+ years artist,or even, an older guy who’s been through some
    things.

Comparing this to previous interviews, even the Nardwuar interview, you can
see the maturity. This is what will stand the test of time ultimately. The
album isn’t a classic (YET!), but the themes and conversations it has
sparked, and will spark, must be reward enough for an artist who cares
    about “doing things right”.

biggest artists were as lyrical as Kendrick and Cole I’m sick of this nigga

Kendrick talks about real shit and then you hear in the backround “Beamer
    benz or bentley”.

  • Arran Chander March 31, 2015 Reply

I love how Rosenberg stayed quiet when Kendrick said you shouldn’t call the
album a classic as soon as you hear it, you should give loads of time for
    the album to digest,
and pretentious lame-o Rosenberg didn’t mention how he called it an
instant classic straight away, the day it dropped,
rosenberg pisses me off sometimes !!!

I feel like artists like Kendrick, J. Cole, Joey Bad, Wale, Big KRIT, Lupe,
etc are really being true to their art and refuse to adhere to what’s on
the radio. Honestly, people would sometimes include Drake in a comment like
this but I don’t get. I have nothing against his music but I just can’t get
with the lyrics, and I know Drake can go into more deep and thought
    provoking topics

Heard them say its even better then old school classic albums its good but

but why j cole? His Album was good but hes nowhere near kdot for me

Rosenberg said I dunno if there is ever been time in history were 2 or 3 or
4 of the biggest artists in the game were that lyrical and committed to hip
hop…Nigga are you serious? The biggest artists in hip hop were always
lyrical back in the 90s. I swear Rosenberg gets on my nerves with his dumb
    comments.

  • John Moreno April 1, 2015 Reply

Tell Rosenberg to get off Breakfast Club’s dick. Did he just talk about
them “gossiping”? Rosenberg is the fruit cake that does the gossip section
on this show. lmao. what a clown. Charlamagne brings way more substance to
    the game than rosenberg.
